Hi, I’m Maggie!

I am a multi-disciplinary artist passionate about theatrical storytelling and youth education. I am available to book for workshops as a teaching artist in your classroom or program!

Artist - Educator - TYA Practitioner

Since 2017, I have been a teaching artist for students ages 4-18. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Studies and English Literature from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. From theatrical design to playwriting, I love teaching young artists all aspects of theatrical production, helping them become well-rounded creatives. Passionate about Shakespeare and pre-modern drama, I strive to create a safe, fun, and empowering environment where students can explore important texts in the theatrical canon.

I believe in assisting young people to develop the tools to express themselves on and off stage, especially those belonging to underrepresented or marginalized communities. I have worked with young people all around the United States, including the Horizons Summer Enrichment Program of the Jersey Shore, the Playmaking for Girls program at Synchronicity Theater in Atlanta, Georgia, and in my current position as a teaching artist at Spinning Dot Theatre in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I am also an avid collector of hobbies: crocheting, scrapbooking, and jewelry-making, to name a few. If you can’t find me, check the nearest craft store!

I am also very excited to be starting this summer as an Educator with Unity in Learning at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and Leslie Science and Nature Center!
